Brickwood Asset Management is an independent, dedicated value equities investment boutique founded in January 2024.

What Is Value Investing?

At its core, value investing is about identifying undervalued securities and waiting for the market to recognise their value. As value investors, the team believes that one of the biggest determinants of future returns is whether the valuation paid for an individual security is high or low relative to its long-term history.

This is not a new approach, it was first adopted by Benjamin Graham and David Dodd nearly one hundred years ago and is an approach which has stood the test of time. Though it has been periodically challenged, each time value investing has rewarded those investors disciplined and patient enough to avoid the lure of short-term excitement within the expensive areas of the market.

Our Investment Approach

We believe that by investing in a portfolio of lowly valued securities over time, our clients should receive above-average returns. This approach may not work every year, but by sticking to an evidence-based philosophy and repeating the process, it has historically been shown to deliver attractive returns over the medium term (five years).

Brickwood brings together a wealth of dedicated value investing experience and expertise. Between them Ben, Kevin and Dermot have over 60 years of combined experience dedicated to this style of investing.
