Brickwood Asset Management is an independent, dedicated value equities investment boutique founded in January 2024.

Brickwood’s mission is to deliver superior investment performance through a well-established, disciplined, repeatable investment approach. The firm is dedicated to achieving excellence in both client service and performance.

What Is Value Investing?

Value investing seeks to identify lowly-valued companies, relative to their long-term history, and waiting for the market to recognise their value.

As value investors, the team believes that one of the biggest determinants of future returns is whether the valuation paid for an individual security is high or low relative to its long-term history.

This investment style is not new. It was first adopted by Benjamin Graham and David Dodd nearly one hundred years ago. Though it has been periodically challenged, there is a significant body of evidence which shows that over time, it delivers superior investment returns.

This approach may sound simple. But executing it is not straightforward. Capturing the value premium requires patience, discipline, and a willingness to think differently from the crowd.

Our Investment Approach

We believe that by investing in a portfolio of lowly valued securities over time, our clients should receive above-average returns. This approach may not work every year, but by sticking to an evidence-based philosophy and repeating the process, it has historically been shown to deliver attractive returns over the medium term (five years).
